Manipal University Jaipur Climbs in THE Impact Rankings 2026, Strengthens Global Standing in Sustainable Development
Manipal University Jaipur has improved its position in the Times Higher Education Impact Rankings 2026 by securing the 201–300 global band. The university achieved major gains across multiple United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, including outstanding performances in Affordable and Clean Energy, Zero Hunger, Climate Action, and global partnerships.
The Times Higher Education Impact Rankings evaluate universities worldwide based on their commitment to the 17 Sustainable Development Goals established by the United Nations. Institutions are assessed on key parameters including research, stewardship, outreach, and teaching aimed at addressing global challenges while creating measurable social impact.
Manipal University Jaipur registered substantial progress across multiple Sustainable Development Goals, further strengthening its international reputation as a sustainability-driven and socially responsible institution. The university's most remarkable achievement came in SDG 7: Affordable and Clean Energy, where it secured the 58th rank globally, making a significant leap from the 401–600 band recorded in the previous year.
The university also achieved the 85th global rank in SDG 2: Zero Hunger. In SDG 3: Good Health and Well-being, MUJ improved its position to the 401–600 band from the 601–800 band. It retained its position in the 101–200 band for both SDG 6: Clean Water and Sanitation and SDG 15: Life on Land.
Further progress was recorded in SDG 9: Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure, where the university advanced to the 201–300 band from the 301–400 band. In SDG 12: Responsible Consumption and Production, MUJ improved from the 201–300 band to the 101–200 band. The university also achieved a major jump in SDG 13: Climate Action by advancing from the 401–600 band to the 101–200 band globally.
The institution strengthened its global profile further by improving its ranking in SDG 16: Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions from the 201–300 band to the 101–200 band. Another significant achievement was recorded in SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals, where MUJ advanced from the 601–800 band to the 201–300 band, reflecting its increasing emphasis on national and international collaborations.
